Toronto facts

Toronto is the capital of the province of Ontario (old High-Canada) and the economic metropolis of the country. The population of Large Toronto counts 6.136.654 inhabitants.

It is located on northern bank of the Lake Ontario in the province of Ontario, from which it is the economic heart. Toronto is a modern city with the multicultural face of which from now on only 40% of the population are of old British stock. The lingua franca was always English (spoken by almost hundred percent about the population), with Italian, Portuguese, French and Chinese being rather common too.
